Mentor Responsibilities
Mentors will spend one-on-one time with their mentee doing homework, reading and participating in fun activities such as games, arts & crafts, and sports. Mentors will share life experiences while providing support, guidance and positive role modeling behavior.
Adults and high school students (10th grade minimum with guidance counselor and parent recommendations) are required be screened and to complete an orientation training prior to being matched with a youth. Mentees and Mentors are required to attend fun trainings throughout the duration of the match.
Mentoring is a supervised onsite program that happens between 2:30pm to 6:30pm, Monday through Friday. Matches have many opportunities to participate in fun field trips together with the mentoring program.
