Program
Compass HOPE Youth Mentoring Program serves Palm Beach County youth whose lives are affected by sexual orientation and/or gender identity issues -- their own or those of close family members or friends.
Population Served
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex and heterosexual youth up to age 18 years are welcome regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, marital, familial, or economic status.
Mentor Responsibilities
Caring adults ages 22 and older are matched with individual youth as friends and role models. Mentors meet with mentees at Compass and in the community. Compass provides a range of programs to facilitate mentor/mentee meetings.
Time Commitment
Mentors will meet with mentees at least four hours a month. Mentors and mentees are required to commit to the program for a minimum of one year.
